Bumble, a popular dating app by Whitney Wolfe, is opening a pop-up location that closely matches the theme of the app. The addition of a physical location in accordance to this dating app is an interesting direction to go, considering meet-ups centered around apps aren’t necessarily an uncommon thing to hear of, but to actually have a physical location manifested to directly connect the app to its users beyond the digital plane is an innovative way for Bumble to help spread brand awareness.
By providing this hangout location, which will be brightly lit and well decorated in the beehive theme that the app is based around, Bumble hopes to not only provide a comfortable place for couples to connect in person but also a place for friends to mingle or for strangers to be introduced to the app.
This pop-up location, based in New York, is ornately adorned with hexagonal shapes and warm, honey inspired lighting. It includes a coffee bar and a real bar, offering both options for those who are wishing to get to know each other better with or without the option of alcohol. Besides the otherworldly atmosphere that the uniquely beehive inspired decor offers, Bumble’s physical location will also be selling Bumble branded merchandise, of which all proceeds will be donated to charity.
